Synopsis:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II, under the supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Manager or designee, will recognize, diagnose and resolve systems and equipment malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance and repair Operations, while safely performing skilled and unskilled labor in a variety of disciplines.

The position works independently, with peers and other professions to accomplish a variety of projects, tasks and assignments associated with moderate to difficult facility maintenance and repairs. Including but not limited to proactive and preventative maintenance.

When needed, the Facilities Maintenance Technician II, will provide guidance and support to other team members.

Essential Duties

The Utility Worker will:
  • Drive Floor Scrubber to Clean, sanitize, and sweep the facilities.
  • High Wall dusting using ladders and lifts.
  • Using pressure washer and other tools to clean interior and exterior locations
  • Environmental cleanup both inside and outside the building.
  • Safe disposal of Environmental and Hazardous materials
  • Emptying trash and recycle bins.
  • Organizing and maintaining supplies in Facilities mechanical and storage room(s)
  • General ability to use hand and power tools to paint, drywall, general carpentry a basic plumbing and drain cleaning.
  • General snow removal and landscaping duties.
  • Assist other Maintenance and Facilities associates as required.

Other duties as required by management.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Manual dexterity and basic construction skills.
  • Able to lift to 50 kgs
  • Able to work independently.
  • Able to speak, read and write in the English language
  • Required to work inside and outside the building in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
