Job Description
Security Engineer (healthcare industry) needed in beautiful Spokane, WA!

Qualifications:
- Either live in or are willing to relocate to the Spokane/Coeur D’Alene area
- Have a bachelor’s degree in or equivalent work experience in related technical field
- CISSP, MS IS/IT, GISP or other applicable industry recognized IT Security Certification
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Information Security
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA (and HITECH) as well as PCI-DSS is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft 365 security and administration
- Working knowledge of Microsoft/Azure Active Directory
- Knowledge of general networking and firewall administration
- Experience with SIEM systems
- Experience with HIPS/NIPS systems
- Ability to write and present reports to various levels of leadership
- Red/Blue/Purple team experience – preferably planning and leading engagements
- Proactive and solution driven
Essential Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to):
- Design and implementation of the security solutions for all IT systems and applications
- Day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of current security solutions and the identification, investigation, and resolution of security-related events detected by those systems or other audits as required
- Supervise, train, and develop IT security staff
- Creation/maintenance of security policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures
- Conduct vulnerability audits and assessments
- Understand the organization’s security goals and regulatory obligations, and work with the compliance department to ensure those obligations and goals are met
- Escalates unresolved issues to vendor support
- Participates in knowledge sharing and cross training of IT staff on security technologies on a Tier III level
- Proactively recommends solutions and process improvements regarding network security, infrastructure, and performance
