In search of a highly motivated and hands-on attorney with 6+ years of professional experience in the telecom industry, data privacy regulations and/or regulatory policy implementation, willing to join the Company in its exciting next phase of growth. Responsibilities will include providing internal legal and regulatory support to multiple business areas in connection with various business and commercial issues, ensuring compliance with the applicable US regulatory requirements and being the Company' s primary contact with US regulatory and law enforcement agencies.
Position: Sr. Mgr., Legal and Govt Affairs
Region: Florida, US
Reports to: VP, General Counsel
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Provide general legal support and advice in connection with the company’ s day to day business and commercial operations. Analyze various business situations and develop recommendations in accordance with U.S. regulatory requirements and the company’ s business needs.
o Support and coordinate internal efforts to meet regulatory requirements due time, including, without limitation, the preparation of Company’ s responses in connection with all government subpoenas, consultations or security concerns, lawful requests for surveillance or production of U.S. records by U.S. federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
o Develop internal awareness and a deeper knowledge and understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements policy among the relevant internal areas within the company.
Requirements:
o Education: US Law Degree (JD)
o Experience: 6+ years working as a general practitioner at a law firm, a company or a government agency, with regulatory (telecom) expertise and experience dealing with government agencies in the US.
o Must be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States or its territories.
o English and knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese (preferable).
Remote but must drive into office (Downtown Miami) 1-2 days per week.
