Arch Staffing has partnered with a valued homebuilding Client,  in Daytona Beach, FL, to secure a dynamic Sr. Corporate Accountant  to support the Controller. 

To be successful in this permanent, full-time, onsite role, you need to be extremely detail-orientated, analytical, motivated (roll up your sleeves to get things done) and possess a solid Excel background.

What a typical day may look for you:
  • Complete Consolidated GAAP financial statements
  • Balance sheets
  • Statements of profit and loss
  • Statements of cash-flow
  • Statements of equity
  • Create and maintain mechanisms to ensure financial statement accuracy
  • Coordinate month end closing schedule
  • Regularly prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Journal Entries
  • Assist with the annual budget and projections. Provide budget vs. actual explanations as required
  • Review financial data to ensure that it is “ fair” and complete, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing schedules and analysis for audit
  • Maintain and update   internal controls and policies
  • Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvements
  • Make recommendations for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.) to achieve highest efficiencies
  • Review financial statements for HOAs and assist property manager as required with accounting inquiries
  • Prepare routine financial reports and ad-hoc reports for financial/operational review and decision making
  • Communicate findings with Corporate Controller and CFO on regular basis
  • Inventory Accounting
What you will require to be successful in this role:
  • Masters Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or working towards designation
  • 4 years of Public Accounting Experience preferred
  • 3 - 7 years of Accounting experience
  • 3 - 4 years experience in  cash management, cash flow and cash projections.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting and research
  • Champion of MS Excel
  • Exposure to audit lead schedule preparation
