Job Description

Arch Staffing and Consulting is currently recruiting for a  Manufacturing Engineer for one of our local clients. This engineering position  is the driver of production efficiency and learning. The core responsibility is developing and documenting work instructions as well as working with the Production Manager to develop cross training and skill development on the production floor to ensure maximum utilization and efficiency in our processes.

  • Continually evaluate manufacturing process(es), developing and conducting research programs to test/apply better methods; demonstrate a strong knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
  • In conjunction with Supply Chain and Engineering, routinely confer with supply vendors to develop procedures which optimize and speed up the manufacturing process and/or increase the quality output.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by clearly understanding product requirements; apply the applicable research, design, and testing of manufacturing methods and equipment
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout in conjunction with the Production Manager
  • Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods; test finished- product and process capabilities; establish standards which confirm the manufacturing process
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements in conjunction with the Production Manager
  • Develop and maintain work instructions to increase production efficiency, quality, and conformity
  • Ensure process stability by creating and maintaining control plans
  • Cross function team member on all New Product Development (NPD) projects, Provide real-time design input to ensure manufacturability, Provide final approval for manufacturability on all new products
  • Provide information to production personnel by answering questions and requests
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer' s instructions and established procedures
  • Complete design and development projects by training and guiding production personnel
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the CNC product line (including the competition)
  • Work closely with quality to help resolve RCCA investigations in a timely manner


· Bachelor’ s degree in Engineering

· Experience in the industrial equipment sector

· Manufacturing experience required


· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

· Manufacturing methods and procedures

· Strong attention to detail

· Proficiency in MS Office

· Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative

· Excellent problem-solving skills
