Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for all you Electricians! Our client, located in Summerstown, ON, a quick 10-minute drive from Cornwall, is one of the largest manufacturers in the food packaging industry and they are adding to their team. This state of the art, clean manufacturing company believers in professional growth and promoting within.
If you are the successful individual, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all electrical components in the plant. You will work as part of the Maintenance Department in the continual and efficient operation of all production machines.

- Monday through Friday work week
- 2-week rotation shifts:
- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM ($0.65/hr shift pay)
- NO weekends!
- Competitive wages; $33-$35 per hour
- Comprehensive benefits plan (80% paid by employer) after 3-month probationary period
- $300 per year Wellness Fund after 3-month probationary period
- $200/every 2 years for prescription glasses or safety glasses
- $150/year safety boot allowance

- Work under the direction of the Maintenance Mechanic – Lead Hand
- Comply with all EHS policies, procedures, and safe work instructions in place
- Responsible for all electrical work inside and outside the building including all building and equipment wiring
- Update and optimize electrical systems
- Follow and meet Ontario electrical codes and Pactiv minimum standards
- Available for rotating shifts and overtime as needed
- Perform all other jobs or tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Work unsupervised and be dependable, dedicated, honest and safety oriented
- Be available for educational courses that might benefit job description and performance
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Hold a valid Electrician’s license
- Minimum 1 – 2 years direct experience
- MUST have your own tools
- Flexible to work 2 shifts; days and evenings
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle – no public transportation
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Troubleshoot capabilities
