The Nurse Call Systems Specialist performs various kinds of installation, maintenance, and repair work on diverse low-voltage systems including emergency/nurse call, Wander Guard, RTLS, surveillance, networking, door access, and telephony, for both company provided systems and non-company provided (existing client) systems alike.

Responsibilities: 
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining emergency/nurse call, Wander Guard, and RTLS, systems in senior living facilities
  • Work with senior living communities to design and implement customized nurse call systems that meet the specific needs of residents and staff
  • Troubleshoot problems and diagnose issues with nurse call, and Wander Guard systems, including hardware and software problems
  • Perform routine maintenance and testing of nurse call systems and Wander Guard to ensure optimal functionality
  • Follow up and participate in the process of the on-site nurse call system and Wander Guard projects implementation.
  • Train senior living staff on the proper use of nurse call systems and ensure that they are familiar with all features and capabilities
  • Keep records of all maintenance and repair work performed on nurse call systems
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in nurse call technology and recommend upgrades or improvements to existing systems as needed
  • Maintain and utilize a sufficient working knowledge of all low-voltage systems offered and serviced by our company, including nurse call, surveillance, networking, door access, and telephony.
  • Install and remove CAT5e, CAT6, RG6 and other coax, other low voltage, and fiberoptic cabling.
  • Pull, terminate, neatly label, and test all standard industry cable types in a variety of topologies.
  • Read blueprints and install according to plans.
  • Understand topology concepts such as IDF, MDF, BDR, riser, conduit, line-of-sight, etc.
  • Practice workplace alertness and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines to minimize the risk of workplace injury.
  • Safely operate company-owned automobiles.
  • Protect the interests and reputation of the company through superior personal conduct on and off the job.

 Record all time and notes for work performed in accordance with company standards.
  • Attend all required meetings and functions as directed by management.
  • Maximize billable status for work performed.
  • Adhere to budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
  • Provide on-call support as required (per rotation schedule).
  • Train and share knowledge with peers.
  • Cooperate with project teams to prepare for field deployment, including but not limited to attending project handoff meetings.
  • Maintain an open line of communication regarding events, outstanding issues, and customer follow-up.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements: 
  • Graduation from High School or equivalent.
  • Valid FL Driver’s license and current automobile insurance required.
  • English language (fluent) required, Spanish desired.
